We are first time cruisers and this was a good deal. We read others reviews about embarkation and got to the ship at about 2:30pm for a 4pm departure. We checked in online which allowed us to breeze right through and go straight to our room. We carried on our luggage which also allowed us to not have to wait for it later.

Room: We booked E244 aft oceanview. We were told it was a little larger. We were really surprised at how clean and comfortable it was. I still brought Clorox wipes and wiped surfaces down. I checked for bed bugs and found everything spotless. The pillows and comforter were down with a nice duvet cover. The bathroom was spotless as well. There were 2 nightstands, a chair, and a small stool that was under the vanity. There was also 3 large closets with plenty of hangers and 4 large shelves. Zaw, our porter was discreet but very helpful. We did give him a tip at the beginning of the cruise and he made sure that our ice bucket was always filled, our towels replaced, and our bed always fresh. He remembered our names and called us by name every time we saw him. He and the room was wonderful. Above us was the crew smoking area so we did not hear any noise except one morning. I wasn't sure where it came from though. There was some banging and I did hear some talking. But again don't know where it came from, but it didn't last long. The shuddering that I had read about in aft cabins was very nominal. We did feel some slight shuddering and rocking, but it was like being in a low vibrating bed. We missed it after we left. We slept like babies every night. The ship tv had a few local channels and 2 movie channels. The only few downsides were that there was no clock except for the tv and there was no instructions for the wakeup call. I called the front desk and there was no answer. Note: your cell phones will not work for clocks because for some reason they go all crazy even on airplane mode. The ship slips a day planner and agenda under the door each day and the night before departure with the debarkation procedures included. The other was that the potable water to brush your teeth and face was disgusting. It left the worst aftertaste in your mouth and it smelled terrible. I ended up using bottled water to brush my teeth. Food: Heard about how great the food was. I was disappointed the first night. The buffet was really small. We ate in the dining room each night. We were able to get a table for 2 with no problem. We chose anytime dining. The first night the menu was plain and bland. In the dining room, the portions were really small. The waiter/waitresses must be instructed to not offer any other courses unless you ask. We should have gotten the soda card to begin with. I found out it was only $18 for the 3 days which is worth it. We got it the 2nd and they pro-rated it. We did bring on our own pop and water which was a life saver. The remainder of the cruise the food got better. The breakfast omelet station was fantastic though I had them use pam instead of the ladle of oil. The fruit was fresh as well. I didn't even try to stand in line for the buffet. Too long. Then only time I waited in line was for a lunch and they ran out of the fish as soon I got up there. I asked the buffet server who was the most unhelpful, uncaring man I have met in awhile. There were different stations which helped a little with lines. The 2nd night was the lobster/shrimp night. I ordered a few different meals knowing how small the portions were. It was sad to see how disappointed many of the other diners were because they did not know they could order more. We did tip the waiter that night $4 and he took very care of us. His name was Phillips and he has been with the ship for 19 years. We loved him. He was wonderful. We saw him at the lunch buffet the next day.All in all the food was good. The last night I ordered a few different things and asked for them in order, salad, soup, appetizer and then entree. They brought them all at once which was not very nice. It's as if most of the servers did not really care except for Phillips.Amenities: The all inclusive sushi was great but not open long enough. Only 5-8 fri and sun nights outside the casino. The pizza was ok. The room service menu was not very large and did not include simple foods like a hamburger. Plus you can not get a soda with room service. The casino was fun but don't expect to win much, if at all. They were very rude to my husband and his cigarette choice. He smokes swisher sweets because I can't stand the smell of regular cigarettes. These have a fruity sweet smell. But because they are in the category of little cigars, but don't smell anything like them, he was told that he couldn't smoke them in the casino, but a woman next to us was smoking a clove cigar and was not told anything. He was very upset. I stuck my head into the show and it was awful. We didn't make any other shows or activities. We were not into bingo or jewelry shows. The gym is fantastic. The steam room and spa is inclusive and was not really used by many, which was really nice. I didn't like that I had to wait for machines that were in use from crew members though. We do pay for the use of these amenities and one crew member just didn't care and used a machine for over 30 minutes. The coffee bar was really well priced and we got my husbands espresso every morning. We chose our own excursions and found Blue Hole Watersports out of the Colonial Hilton. We rented our own boat for snorkeling and fishing. The Best! Very safe and professional. We toured the island of Nassau on the local bus and went to atlantis to gamble on sat night while in port. We had no trouble finding a deck chair the day at sea, so no chair hogs on this trip. Everyone was pretty nice and helpful except for the engine room and deck cleaning crew. They were outright rude. Yes, if you go you will have a great time. The downside- the right side of the ship smelled like sewage the entire time. But all in all the ship was always clean and the crew on top of cleaning the entire cruise. We had a wonderful time and it was easy to overlook the negative's because there were so many more positive's. If one is looking, they will find negative's in anything. But for a short 3 day cruise that was affordable, we had a great time. Yes, we would go again.
