Just returned from an 7 night trip on the Carnival Glory. Had a suite which is always nice. Beds were really comfy. Great room stewards and great dinning room staff. Ports of call were not my favorite but took my mother so this was her cruise. From a staff standpoint, I would rate them superb.

The ship itself was in reasonably good condition. I have heard that it is going into drydrock next year for it's overhaul. While we were there, staff was replacing hall carpeting and working hard to make the ship look nice. Everything in our room worked very well.

From a food standpoint, I would rate the food above average but not spectacular. Breakfast was basically the same whether you ate in the dinning room or on the Lido. Had afternoon tea twice in the dinning room and that was very nice. The dinner menus were good with a nice variety. I have had better food on other cruise lines but I have certainly had worse much too. Desserts were disappointing but the soups and salads were very good. Many evenings, I ordered several appetizers which were usually really good instead of a main course. I would give the food a 3.5-4.0 out of 5. It's on the better side of cruise fare.
