Being a VIP (priority embarkation and debarkation) is the only benefit that gets you on and off the boat quickly. I heard that on prior cruises with VIP status you could get refreshments in the waiting area, but this time only water and lemonade.

Room stewards were extremely friendly and would make sure they would acknowledge me even if I walked by another room they were cleaning just to say good morning or ask how my day was.

Wait staff as well was great, though the 'show' was sometimes tacky. The last night in the dining room was the best. I had 'anytime' dining which meant you could get in to the dining room at 5:45, 15 minutes before the 'Early Seating' cruisers. If you waited until 6:30 to 7:00 for anytime dining the line got long, but not unbearable. Showtime was at 7:10, which could have interupted your dining while your waitstaff participated in the 'show'.

Cabin Review

Cabin 11

Great room for 2 with plenty of space for clothing and other gear. Awesome deck fits 2 lounge chairs, 2 sitting chairs and 2 small tables. You could easily fit 10-15 people standing on the deck. Very quiet (from other guests)for peaceful dinner or breakfast on the deck. You do have the wake of the engines. Wished I could have had music on the deck but it was not available, so bring your own speakers if you want, though must be battery operated. Not many outlets in the room (110 volt), I found only 2, one outside the bathroom on the side of the vanity and 1 in the TV stand in the sitting area. I couldn't find any in the bedroom. There are no clocks in the room. I would book this room again. These aft wrap balconies get picked up really quickly so if you know when you want to cruise, watch the availability daily and grab it as soon as the trip comes online. Deck 6(Empress) is great in that there are guest rooms above and below so there are no late night bands playing above or below as well as no pool decks above where cleaning staff will slide lounge chairs aroung for the nightly cleaning.
