Sailed on the Ruby and had a great time. Read the reviews beforehand regarding our cabin, back on ship balcony. Reviews said bad cabins and smells were terrible. Well our cabin was fine and no smells out of ordinary. Room steward was good, waiter was good, assist waiter was new so he was running around trying to do it all perfect for head waiter. Felt sorry for him! Dinner were good....not great but good. Desserts were good. Our table liked to order extra entrees every night so we could all taste everything.
Only thing I wish I had knew earlier was International Cafe is free...except for bar area. Great desserts and salads.
Entertainment wasn't bad. Typical cruise ship shows. Movies under the stars...GREAT!! Ports if Call were good. Typical stops of Princess Cays,St. Maarten, St. Thomas, which we were at new pier for St Thomas and taxi took us to Havens port and no stores open because no ships at that pier. Driver could have told us but then he wouldn't have made that extra $2. Turks was nice. Excursion was cancelled due to poor conditions and we were notified early enough so we could book something else. Only bad thing was short time there. Carnival also had ship there and 6000 or more on island at one time is more then the port can handle. Nothing there except a few stores Margaritaville and the beach.....nice beach. Great weather and good times! Only suggestion is to book excursions early!!
Baja cabin back of ship with balcony. Nice size balcony.... bigger then side balcony. Big enough for 4 chairs and a small table and still plenty of room.
Would have liked to seen a bit bigger of cabin but was workable. Bathroom shower is small. Thank goodness it is a curtain and not a door as you would have been hitting door open bending over. No noise in hallway as it is back of ship
