I wanted a cruise that sailed from San Francisco as I planned on staying in the city post cruise. The embarkation was smooth and we were in our cabin quickly. Disembarkation was smooth as well, the volunteers are a great help too. The cabin was in great condition. We dined only in the dining room, Horizon buffet or the International cafe. The food was great & the choices varied enough for me. It would be nice to see almond milk and a larger variety of fruit such as mango & papaya. The entertainment was fantastic, very professional too. The activities were a lot of fun and I enjoyed watching them as well as participating in some of them. The egg drop and paper plane contest were so much fun as was the horse race. The service by staff on a levels was excellent as usual.

We did 3 port excursions with Princess. We really liked the San Sebastian and Colima/Comala tours, they showed what old Mexico was like along with some history. Whale watching at Cabo San Lucas was fantastic and the crew were very attentive. In Mazatlan we just wandered about & took a taxi ride for 2 hours.

I would do the Mexican Riviera again but sail from a port further south, the 3 days before Mexico & 2 days after were very cool.

Mazatlan

We took a private taxi for 2 hours around the city and saw all the places we wanted. There was to be a carnival starting so the town was decorated. The cliff diver was good but a little aggressive when asking for money. A nice place, very safe.

San Francisco

We stayed in San Francisco for 6 days post cruise. An awesome city with so much to see and do. We purchased a city pass which gave us unlimited use of the MUNI bus system and entrance to several attractions. We saw almost all of the city by bus and the drivers were great and answered all our questions and let us know when to get off as did the citizens of the city. Ate all kinds of seafood, there are so many restaurants there. The homeless are everywhere and don't bother tourists. Second time in the city and still would go back.
