We reside in the SF Bay area and it is easy to take a local shuttle to and from the Pier Parking is very costly, the parking structure is several blocks from the pier and there is no transportation from it to the cruise terminal so we must unload bags at the terminal, leave one of us there to get it loaded on a cart, and then park the car and walk back.

Embarkation: easy, well organized, speedy.

We had a modest lunch in the Horizon buffet and then noted the major Grand Princess changes after the costly drydock: New carpets in all of the corridors, new comfortable mattresses in our rooms, complete remodeling of the Italian restaurant Sabatini's, mjor changes to the main stage as to lighting, sound digital scenery, etc.
