We went on this cruise to celebrate the 90th birthday of our friend. There were 18 in our group. Overall the ship was ok but we have been on cleaner ships. The public bathrooms could have been kept cleaner. If you wanted to get lounge chair by the pool, you needed to get one before 7:30am. most were being reserved by fellow travelers who left them unattended for more than 2 hours or so. We were not the only ones that had issues with this. According to several officers it is the responsibility of the bar staff to check on this. The bar staff is way too busy doing there job. NCL should have pool attendants for such a large area that needs to be covered.
We did not use the fitness center because it was always full and the area used was sooo tight. The balcony mini suite cabin was very small compared to other cruise lines and the balcony was very small - could not hold a lounge chair. We ate in all the complimentary dining areas and 3 specialty restaurants, and the food was always excellent. There was always a broad selection to choose from. We took a shore excursion in Roatan and it was ok, but both my husband and I are sick because of it. It seems that we got some kind of 'reef poisoning'. Following up with the doctor tomorrow. Harvest Caye in Belize was very nice and I believe in a couple of years it will be an absolutely wonderful place to visit once the trees have grown and they are able to get more birds and other animals. In my opinion the cruise was very overpriced and I am not sure if we will cruise with NCL again.
The cabin was small. The bathroom is a very nice size with a wonderful walk in shower and double sinks. The balcony is TINY. It fits 2 chairs facing each other. Limited closet space.
Harvest Caye is beautiful and the nature center is very nice. In a couple of years this will be absolutely beautiful. The beach area is very nice and there were plenty of chairs for all. THere were lots of activities one could participate in.
We just walked around the center of town. Our friends that went on a snorkeling excursion said that the water was very rough.
