Being a mega ship, the Getaway has a multitude of activities and attractions to keep passengers busy, but you can never get away from the crowds. People had to essentially climb over each other to snag a deck chair or a table at the Garden Cafe. Unless you wanted to spend more on food and drinks the restaurants were also packed. This nickel and dimeing gets old really fast, especially when you have purchased the "Ultimate beverage package" but are unable to use it on Harvest Caye. The highlight of my trip was the excursion on Cozumel to Salsa & Salsa. A really fun time included make your own salsas and margaritas, as well as salsa dancing with time left to visit the beach or pool at he resort.

The ever present chair hogs can really ruin a good day. Pool attendants need to be empowered to enforce the rules set by the company. I had no complaints about the food, or dining service. My birthday was acknowledged by many staff members who recognized me. That was impressive. My studio cabin was near the stairs down to the lounge,a good location. I think the steward was new since I have had better service in the past. Embarking was easy but disembarking was a challenge even though I too my own bags off. The lines were very long and even though I left at 10 I barely made my two o'clock flight MIA. Used Uber, Janet was a great driver. Really thing this was my last cruise from Miami.
