This was our second cruise on Carnival. Took the Liberty to the western caribbean last year. This trip was even better !!! Flew to Miami a day early to avoid the stress of "will my flight be delayed and miss my cruise" Stayed in the Conrad... great Hotel with excellent suites and service. Ate at Casa Juancho - authentic Spanish restaurant - I lived in Spain for four years and this restaurant brought back many wonderful memories.Embarcation was very nicely done thru the VIP lounge. We had booked the Deluxe Presidential Suite and it almost lived up to its name. Very nicely appointed suite with 2 baths. "Mr. P" was our cabin steward and did a great job, very personable. Downside to the suite was the balcony. Huge- yes, but not as private at our Category 11 suite .. People were constantly standing over the balcony and it was not as pleasant as I would have hoped. The food was a real surprise .. fantastic and even better than last year. Our table staff , Tarpin and Marichu were wonderful and made our meals a pleasure. Our table mates were from Kentucky and were the highlite of our trip. Meeting new people is a real plus when crusing. We went snorkeling for the 1st time in St. Thomas and in Grand Turks ... We had a great time and plan to go on more shore excursions that include snorkeling. The jewelry shoping in St. Thomas and in Peurto Rico is well worth the trip. We plan to go back. Overall this was a wonderful cruise, great ship and staff and well worth the price.
