Boarded the carnival liberty on 23rd May from Miami port as was travelling from London stayed in hotel the night before (Biltmore) which was fabulous.  Weather in Miami was not too good rainy on and off.  Embarkation went smoothly,, there was a queue but moved swiftly.  Once on board went straight to our cabins and had to participate in a fire drill.  I have to say I found the fire drill very disorganised and by the end of it still didn't understand the procedure as it was too fast and not clear instructions.  However the remainder of the cruise went smoothly.  I travelled with my son aged 9 and my mother.  We shared a balcony cabin which was fab. The beds were so comfortable.  My only other complaint was the air cond on the ship was always too high and therefore was very chilly at times on the ship.  Food in the evening dining was great and our waiter 'Kutut' did a good job in looking after us every evening.  There were 2  formal nights throughout the 7 nights and it was an opportunity to really dress up for those that wished too.  I ended up spending majority of money on buying the professional pictures.  I found lunch in the Lido deck a bit monotamous but was still nice. Queues were always very long. Lovely selection of fresh cakes everyday.   Plenty to do on board...gym/sauna/swim or lounges by the jacuzzi.  Quite a few pools but they were all very small. I did not end up having a dip in any of them.  Plenty of deck chairs for all.  Islands visited were Half moon cay, St Juan, St Thomas and Grand Turk.  Grand Turk was absolutely beautiful and it was a beautiful day,,,clear blue waters.  Went on an excursion city tour in Puerto Rico but would of like to of seen more of the island.  There was anything much to do on half moon cay but the beach was nice.  Leaving ship for each island was very smooth.  Advice to register your credit card in advance to the ship as I had problems with my registering on their system for the first day therefore had problems when I wanted to buy something. Disembarkation went quick and smooth.  Got luggage quickly. Was off ship by 9.30am and had a few hours to shop before getting my flight at 5.00pm back to London.Overall the ship is very grand beautiful decor toilets.  Found it very difficult to find my way around the ship and by the end of the week was still confused.  You had to walk through the casino every time to get to the dining room but later found out another route to get there without having to walk through the main part of the ship which was a relief. Entertainment was good and always something to do.

Cabin Review

Balcony cabin was great...No noise from neighbour cabins.  Would of preferred sliding doors rather than the old fashioned doors accompanied.  Plenty of closed space and room to put luggage under  the bed.  We had a king size bed and a sofa bed.  Shower was cosy and had everything needed.  Water was nice and hot.
