We recently returned from a 5 night cruise to Bermuda (8/20). Before we left on our cruise, I think I read just about every review on The Anthem and truthfully, I was a little nervous and considered canceling, however, this being our first cruise and not having the experience or the comparisons of some of the reviewers, we decided to go and make the best of it.
Maybe because I did read so many reviews, I had every activity, all dining and all entertainment reserved and I think this is the key to having a successful vacation on The Anthem. Our vacation was wonderful. The ship was absolutely beautiful and definitely easy to navigate. While the food was good, we did find it a bit repetitive - we only went to the included restaurants. The activities were fun; we were able to go on the I-fly, NorthStar, participate in the bumper cars, roller skating, my daughters did the flow rider and wall climbing. The shows were different but We Will Rock You was wonderful. Bermuda was stunning. We took the ferry to St. George and went to Tom Moores Jungle to cave and blue hole swim. Lunch at the Swizzle Inn followed by ice cream at Baileys was definitely worth the trip. The next day we rented a Boston Whaler to explore the many beautiful and secluded beaches/little islands that Bermuda has to offer.
Bigger than expected.
Embarkation and disembarking was very easy
We were able to have lunch at the Frog and the Onion and walk around/shop a bit. Fun, touristy.
