Sail Date: Aug 2016

Just off the Anthem of the Seas first New England run (8/25 to 9/3/2016). We do extensive research prior to booking and knew the approval rating was not great, but Cape Liberty is only 30 minutes away so we decided to give it a try. We have cruised many times (30+) on both Royal and Celebrity and have never felt the need to write a review until this cruise.

Check-in, parking, luggage drop off – very smooth. But delay in boarding caused the terminal waiting area to backup with standing room only, so when they finally started boarding, there was a mad rush with no order and no control by staff.

Forget the Windjammer on boarding day, or any day for that matter. It’s like Grand Central Station at rush hour. Finding a table is impossible – they even make announcements asking people who have finished their meal to move on so others may sit. There was little variety in the food from day to day.
