This was our 3rd time on a Royal Caribbean cruise, our 2nd time on the independence and all I have to say by reading some of these reviews, I personally do not know what cruise you were all on! I do not understand how much moaning there is and what you were all moaning about! I was actually sitting laughing when reading them and will say to anyone looking at these reviews and thinking about booking independence of the seas ignore the reviews just go ahead and book it!!

I 100% agree with one the comments below, it is the dubious passengers that are bad point about it and I too have never before met so many whining, rude & compensation seeking people, well clearly there is a few on here by the comments. I would also like to add about one of the comments below regarding the Scottish, excuse me I am Scottish and yes the Scottish do like to party and have a good time, that's exactly what you are on holiday to do but we do know the limits at least we have manners!

The crew - All the crew and staff that work on the ship were very friendly, polite, very hardworking and always wanting to please the passengers and how they could still be polite to some obnoxious and rude passengers is beyond me. The service in the dining room, windjammer, cafes, bars etc were 100%. Our main waiter Erwin in the Mcbeath dining room was top notch, also not forgetting Simon "booze man" and of course Maria "our Scottish sister". I really do not understand how people can complain about the service. When booking in at Southampton we noticed our company of 6 was at two different tables for our dining, so soon as we got on the ship, went to customer services and it was sorted out immediately without any hassle. Same as one of our company's drink package was not registered that again got sorted out without any hassle or problems. The staff and crew do a great job! I would love to see you all work they long hours.

Port Reviews

Seville

It is a lovely place, there is lots to see. Would like to go back.

Southampton

Embarkation was great, we were checked in and on the ship very quick.

Toulon

Was nice to see but would not be back there. If this was a stop on our next cruise, I would take a trip into St Tropez.

Gibraltar

It is a nice place to see, lots of British shops and good priced.

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

Palma is a lovely city, had a over night stop so went into Magaluf for the night. It was a fun night.

Malaga

Malaga again is a lovely city, a lot of nice little side streets. We took the bus tour, would not do it again but was nice to see.
