Independence of the Seas Review

A floating benidorm

Review for the Western Mediterranean Cruise on Independence of the Seas

First and last time from Southampton. A Cruise of two halves, traditional cruisers and those who usually go to the Costas for an All inclusive. Never have I seen so many tattoos and people the worse for drink on a cruise. There were rumours that a couple had been thrown off the cruise at Majorca for fighting but I did not witness it. I met many Independence cruisers who had been on the ship many times, but they said this was their final cruise on the Independence.

The ship needs an overhaul, carpets and cabins need replacing.

We were never able to get a sunbed unless you were prepared to get up at 7.00 am. On bad weather day's there was nowhere to sit down inside. The itinerary was poor with some ports only for half a day which did not give you long enough to see the sights.
