We got to the port as we always do around 10:30am and at 11:00 as almost always they opened the doors to begin boarding. We had previously called RCCL to have our Platinum status transferred over to Celebrity as Select members even though this was our first celebrity cruise. We stepped right into the Select member line and were one of the first on board the ship. We generally cruise larger ships than the Century but the layout and the way they designed the ship was just beautiful! I'm not sure what else I would want. I love the decor and how they decorated the ship. This was an Easter Spring break cruise and I had a big bag of Easter bunny stuff for the next morning filled with chocolate so I went to the room at 11am and asked if I could leave that bag to keep the chocolate from melting our room steward was MORE than accommodating and told us to leave anything we needed to. We were thrilled and proceeded up to the buffet. I was utterly surprised and impressed at the difference in other lines buffets compared to Celebrity. There was a stir fry station, chinese station, cheese and cracker station, salad station, gourmet food station and pasta station and it DIDN"T SMELL like a cafeteria! We grabbed some lunch and then headed out to the pool where the chairs seemed a little old but they were nice and comfy and not many people were on board yet so we enjoyed a quiet afternoon. About 1:30 it started to get cloudy so we went to our rooms to find all of our bags already there except for the hanging bag. We changed clothes and headed out for a complete ship tour while my mother in law went to see if she could change our dining table so they were sitting with us. They were immediately accommodated. d Our room steward did an excellent job all week and we adored Concierge class although the room was a little small with a 3rd person in there and we had just sailed in a RCCL Jr. SUite the month prior to this cruise by ourselves so it was hard not to compare the size. If you can I would strongly recommend CC. The daily fruit, evening snack before dinner, champagne for sail away, nice robes, expanded room service menu(more on that in a minute) were DEFINITELY worth it!

Room Service: One of our very favorite cruise experiences is to have breakfast in our PJ's on the balcony. We were SOO surprised when we saw the CC menu and the first day ordered smoothies, french toast with orange butter, western omelet for my husband. I always bring $50 in ones for room service stewards and tip big so if we need anything we always get it. The first day the girl figured that out and pulled our order every morning. We even requested that our boys room service from their OV room down the hall be delivered to our room at the same time and she grabbed a friend and they delivered it together. Everything we tasted was yummy and we really enjoyed having a table on the balcony and not just chairs.

Food: We had just sailed RCCL and felt that the service and food had gone down quite a bit since the previous cruise a year earlier so I was a little skeptical. I was really surprised at the service and food. We had teenage boys ages 13,14,& 16 and my 15 yo daughter plus my husbands parents at the table with us. Our boys are BIG boys all well over 6 ft athletes who love to eat AND try new things so many nights they asked for two of things or one of each.. The waiter took in stride and tried to anticipate their moves. Everything we ate was scrumptous and I was thrilled that we had creme brulee after RCCL had taken it off their menu on our last cruise. The kids love french rolls and breadsticks and the asst waiter figured that out and would take out whatever was being served and bring those every night. We didn't drink but the bar attendant knew all the kids had drink cards and would have their preferred drink waiting for their arrival every night. Overall wonderful dining experience.

Cabin Review

Cabin CC

Tiny room with barely enough space for a roll away bed even though we booked a triple. Hallway was really quiet and we loved the location.
