Overall, we were very disappointed with the staff service and food experience on the Spirit. This was my eighth cruise and first time on the Norwegian line. I have never experienced such poor general treatment from the staff, particularly the servers. This trip was actually our honeymoon, but we felt more like second-class citizens. We wondered if they just assumed that as a young couple, we wouldn't spend as much money on board and therefore paid little to no attention to us. It took a very long time to receive meals/drinks, the restaurant servers gave the impression of tolerating us, and the food quality was quite poor. We decided not to try to specialty restaurants based on how the main dining room food tasted. However, the desserts were good as were the cocktails. We enjoyed our time at ports and the tours through the line were very good. The worst event was the last night, when we could hear every single suitcase being dragged out for disembarkation through a hall by our cabin. By 3:30am, it was so bad that we requested to sleep in a different cabin. The apology we received was lip service. I would not recommend this cruise to family or friends.
