Sail Date: Jan 2016

We cruised Freedom of the Seas on the eastern Caribbean itinerary, sailing January 24th, 2016. I’ve waited a bit to write a review because we sensed some cut backs on the Freedom cruise and were cruising Allure of the Seas a few weeks later. Now that I’ve been able to compare the two experiences, I can report on what I saw.

I am a cruise leader for a Florida travel agency and have cruised RCCL many times and enjoyed each cruise as I did this one. BUT there have been some cut backs on Freedom. According to officers on board, some of these are being do to hold cabin pricing. I’m not too convinced of that statement. So here goes…

Cabin… Everything I expected. The cabin steward did a fine job and filled all my needs. We had a promenade view room mid ship on deck 8. Three decks down to the promenade and three decks up to the pool deck was a convenient location for walking up and down the stairways. Things look just a bit worn in areas but overall appearance of the cabin and the ship in general was very nice.
