Background:
I'm a well traveled person used to higher end accommodations, but new to cruising. My wife and I decided to upgrade to a suite class and at the last minute spent the extra on a Celebrity Suite vs. the Sky Suite. Great decision - I'll tell you why below.
We hit four ports - Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria BC. We did excursions in all ports as detailed below. We also cruised Tracey Arm Fjord, which was a highlight.
Very large and spacious with a veranda that fit a lounger, table and two chairs. We were on the aft right side, which was good viewing for Tracy Arm. Big flat screen TV in living room with a comfy L shaped sofa. Another large flat screen in bedroom. The TV software was glitchy, needed refresh or at least a reboot.
The bedroom was spacious for a ship with a huge walk in closet and plenty of shelf and drawers space. Tons of hangers in two closets, which made my wife very happy. The bathroom had plenty of space, an single sink, and a "rain fall" style shower head.
Butler services was amazing. Great for first time cruisers with lots of questions. Chip hooked us up on many occasions with reservations, etc. We had one small issue with a leak in bathroom, but an army of plumbers came and fixed it at once.
The carpet, upholstery, fixtures and furniture were all in really great shape. Nothing looked old or worn out.
Tip - plenty of space to store you empty luggage under the bed.
We spent two days ahead of tim seeing the city. It was great to do it this way.
