First time on NCL, and not that impressed!!!! A lot of hype for nothing. As an avid cruiser, every cruise has it's pros & cons. Now having the opportunity to explore NCL I prefer RCCL, and it all comes down to peoples individual preference.
FOOD: If you go on this cruise get the Dining Package. Unfortunately, I didn't get it and was stuck eating food from the complimentary restaurants: Savor, Taste, Tropicana, O' Sheehans (24 hr.), Buffett, Noddle Bar, & Flamingo Grill. Food from the buffet was better than main dinning rooms. Main dinning room was pretty much the same menu all 7 days, not the best quality, and food served at room temperature or cold. Buffett was pretty good considering the amount of food served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but again most food was room temperature. Highly recommend the Noddle Bar (fried rice) and Flamingo Grill (Cuban), great and flavorful. Yuca frita and pork was my favorite!!!! My husband and I are sports bar kind of people and enjoy some good chicken wings, fries, and ribs, by far the worse food on the cruise......
ENTERTAINMENT: Burn the Floor was the best entertainment, what talented dancers. Comedy - 9:30 showing was funny, as well as the Dueling Pianos. Attempted to watch Legally Blond, but had to walk out because it was so amateur.
The smallest inside cabin I have ever stayed in. Barely any storage, lived out of suitcases all week, and stored under bed. Bathroom was a decent size, but way to small for 2 adults and 1 teenager.
Cabbage Beach - $4 taxi ride. Fun day at the beach with family, again crystal clear waters, but slightly choppy. Water activities, beach chairs and umbrellas available, but way over priced. Locals are all over the place trying to sell you things. Food at Pirates was good as well.
