We are regular cruisers, but this was our first experience with Celebrity. We found the ship to be gorgeous, the staff to be efficient and friendly, and the ports beyond compare. Especially liked some of the unique--and functional!--public spaces, such as The Library, and The Hideway. Also, both the indoor and outdoor pool areas were beautifully maintained and just great after a long day of sightseeing! And Café al Bacio was a terrific place to grab an EXCELLENT latte or mocha and plan the day!

A couple of areas that could use improvement: Embarkation. Yikes! We've never seen such a slow moving line to board. Fortunately, there was adequate seating, and everyone was pretty excited to start the trip. But the hour and a half wait time needs to be addressed.

Food was quite good in the main dining room, and in the specialty restaurants. Qsine deserves a particular shout-out for the innovative plating and presentation. And quality was top notch. However, variety at the Ocean View Buffet needs a serious upgrade. On a shorter cruise, this may not present a problem. But our cruise was 12 nights, and we were underwhelmed with the "same old, same old" day after day. Celebrity could take a tip from Windstar, who does an exceptional job of including a selection of local specialties (native to that day's port of call) in many of their buffet offerings.

Port Reviews

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a wonderful city from which to start, or end a trip. Efficient airport and ground transportation, and a wealth of things to see and do. the Anne Frank Museum is a must. And canal tours provide a great way to get acquainted with the city.

Tallinn

A highlight of the trip overall. What a wonderful town to wander in! It was our first glimpse of the Onion Domes of the Russian Region--and unforgettable. Quite a lot to see and do here!

Helsinki

Having worked ourselves into delightful exhaustion in St. Petersburg during the two days prior, we almost didn't get off the ship. But we were so glad we did! The open air market in the towns center was a delight, as was the lovely park area. There was even a concert performance taking place while we were there.

Stockholm

A beautiful city, with such picturesque views on the waterfronts. The Vasa Museum was a little gem, and so easy to navigate. Again, there was much to see and do here. We plan to return!
