First impression of this ship was the size of the ship as I had never sailed on a ship this size before, the biggest having been the Celebrity Galaxy some years ago and the P&O ship Oceana. The cabin a twin inside on F deck was quite spacious and was impressed the the facilities in the cabin such as the adequate hanging space for clothing and a great shower in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable with a nice thick mattress on each bed. Our cabin stewardess was brilliant with nothing too much trouble for her.
The cabin was handy for lifts and stairs as it was situated forward end. It was also quite near to the restaurants/shops etc on deck 7. We had freedom dining which we thought was great as it was more flexible than fixed dining times. Facilities on board were excellent with plenty of places to eat and also the bars. Entertainment throughout the cruise was excellent. All in all the cruise was excellent with plenty of activities. Would definitely recommend this ship and would sail in her again.
The ports we visited were excellent with plenty of time ashore for shopping or sight seeing. Shuttle buses were available. Weather was against us in Gibraltar with torrential rain but nothing could be done about that. Barcelona was great for shopping and bars down the long main street and much to see if you used the open top buses. Other ports we visited were Ajaccio, Rome, Cartegina, Cadiz, Monte Carlo. The weather held and our warmest place was in Cadiz which is an amazing place to explore with plenty to see. Barcelona has a wonderful indoor market selling fresh produce and wines. Monte Carlo has a wonderful harbour where there are plenty of yachts to be seen. Plenty of designer shops and street cafes here also. All in all a great choice of destination which were very much enjoyed.
