Sail Date: Mar 2015
Cabin: Aft-View Extended Balcony

DW and I sailed the Glory for our second time. We had a good time, but would rate the experience as average. We had an aft extended balcony, which was nice. Our cabin steward kept our cabin clean and assisted us with anything we needed.

We ate 3 meals in the dining room. The food there was not as good as previous cruises, especially the desserts. The desserts were pretty bland and tasteless. Honestly, most nights it was a struggle to find one that was appealing. On Cruise Elegant nights, anything goes. I saw shorts and T shirts on those nights. I don't care what the dress code is, but there should be some minimal enforcement, IMO. We ate in the Lido the remaining nights. It also was only average. The Fish & Chips was only open from noon until 3:00, but was excellent. The best food overall was Guy's Burgers. The best hamburger I have ever had.

There was the usual frustration at the muster drill waiting 15 minutes or so for those who are always late. One cabin's occupants were waving to the bridge crew while we sweated in lines. It would seem they could check your cabin off after you have seen how to snap a life jacket. Some cruise lines have had you meet in a public area, like the dining room or theater. Anyway, I guess that is part of cruising.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8M

Excellent view and larger balcony.

Port Reviews

Roatan

Nice beach area and hiking. Do not buy the Internet service. You literally had to be at the booth where it is purchased to have service. NOT a good deal even at $10 for all day.

Costa Maya

Nothing much here unless you take a tour. There is a small fishing village you can get to by cab. On a prior trip we did a Mayan ruins tour with a local company that was excellent.

Cozumel

We have always gone into town to shop or gone to Paradise Beach. There is a ferry to the mainland, but limited return options.
