Carnival Glory Review - May 31 Sailing

This was my wife and my self's third cruise and the first cruise for our two kids. Our daughter is 12 and son is 10. We flew out on Friday evening May 30 and arrived in Orlando late Friday night. We stayed at a hotel with a complementary shuttle back and forth to the airport. The following morning we got up and ate the free breakfast at the hotel and then took the shuttle back to the airport where we had booked the Mears bus to take us to Port Canaveral. The ride took about 40 minutes and was fine; I believe we were on the first bus to leave the airport around 11 am.

We arrived at the port around noon and headed towards the ship. They were checking everyone's fun pass before they allowed you to enter the port building. Oops! I left mine in the luggage, forgetting they take the luggage straight to your room, a nice Carnival lady outside quickly found our names in a book and we were on our way again. In the port they handed out a paper telling that the order of the ports had been changed and we would be swapping Roatan for Belize, the paper said the reason is to give more time at the ports. We were on the ship in a matter of minutes and headed straight to the Red Sail restaurant for lunch. The food was very good and we of course stuffed our selves more that we should have. We wondered around the ship a bit and then took our stuff to our rooms at 1:20. We were early but it was ready.
