This was our 7th cruise (the 3rd this year). We've been on RCCL, Carnival, Disney and NCL. We traveled with our two kids ages 3 and 7, and also with friends who have 2 children as well.

Getting There - I have to say to anyone who wants to make it to their cruise destination, don't fly AIR TRAN. We used them before, always had a bad experience with numerous delays and poor attitudes from their employees...but this time was by far the worst. Our plane was "ON TIME" according to the display board. Our plane was to leave at 2pm. That time came and went, no plane at the gate. NO explanation from the staff. The staff were MIA. An hour goes by, we find someone from Air Tran who tells us that the flight is still in Boston (we are in Phillie). Still no announcement made to the rest of the passengers. Board now say delayed. Finally at 4pm, the board say DELAYED 4:15pm. Still no announcements made. The plane finally arrives and takes off at 5:20pm...over 3.5 hours from the time it was suppose to. No announcements made from the captain at all regarding the delay. We arrive at the terminal only to wait another HOUR AND A HALF for the baggage to arrive on the carousel.

Luckily, we were flying in the day BEFORE the cruise. BUT, we were suppose to attend a party at Disney. We had tickets for 7pm. We never arrived at Disney until 10pm (were suppose to land by 5pm). Kids tired at this point, day ruined. We stayed at Disney Swan, a beautiful hotel. Wish we had more time there. Read more
