Sail Date: Jul 2014

We went on the cruise that goes to Jamaica, Grand Caymans and Cozumel. This was our first time to sail Carnival. We were impressed with the boat very well kept clean you see people cleaning all the time. There are a ton of things to do so you never get bored and the crew seemed to enjoy their job. They have dodgeball on sea days I highly recommend this its a blast and Bob is who runs it is awesome and intense, they should ad more games of dodgeball it was great exercise first thing in the morning and one of the funnest things on the ship. The only complaint I have and I know after reading these some people complain about every little thing but the food really is just not that good. We cruised Princess in March and the food on that ship was about 4 levels above the Magic. By the last day I was actually not looking forward to the dinner which was not the case on Princess. I would compare the food to a bad day at Golden Coral. Such a great boat really should up the food quality. The service at dinner was not good either and I am very easy just bring my food and keep my water full and I will never complain. My drink rarely was filled and the food took forever to come. Desert would take at least 20-30 min every night I know its premade in the back so I don't know if it was our servers or what but it was bad. Overall I enjoyed the boat more than Princess. There is always fun things to do so I will trade that out for the quality of food. The last thing is the port of Galveston is pretty bad getting on the boat was delayed about 2 hours and the building was very crowded and is very old, not enough chairs the port of Houston was a lot nicer.
