Let us start off with the fact that we love cruising. Cruising has been 70% of our vacations since 1995. All in total we have cruised 34 times since 1995. We do it because we enjoy it. And, this cruise was an enjoyable experience. It may not have been the most memorable but is was just a one week getaway and met expectations.
Before the cruise we were avid communicators on the Cruise Critic Roll Call. This was a lively group who shared tidbits of very useful information. The leaders set up a well organized venue of entertainment for that first “at sea day”. In early May, it is good to some alternative to lounging at the pool. We only participated in the M&M and slot pull and thy exceptionally organized and lots of fun. The feed back from others events – the cabin crawl, gift exchange, and martini tasting was also very favorable. This site is a great information resource for both new and seasoned cruisers.
Although the vessel was fully booked, there never appeared to be a problem with over crowding. The passengers were generally older, more seasoned travelers and very friendly. There were few children on board which was very predicable based on the season and general attractions offered to young children. Never was there a problem finding a deck chair or open spot in a hot tub.
The balcony was tiny and of little use because it rarely was in the sun. Of course, the massive bathroom can easily fit any 98 lb. person. Me, I’m a little heavier so I just fit!The sparkling wine, robes, flowers, and canapés add a nice touch.
