Cruise left from Bayonne, NJ. Drove to the dock and parked for $19 a day. Checkingin was easy. We arrived at noon, ate lunch in the Bistro on 5. Although it now costs $7pp plus tax, it is still worth a visit. Cabins were available at 1 pm. We were in cabin 8052, concierge class. It was a nice location close to the forward elevators. We had been told that it was a partially obstructed view. We never found the obstruction. Veranda was standard size with 2 nice chairs and a table. Our cabin steward, Jorge was excellent. Beds were very comfortable. Storage was good. We liked the tote bag. We were happy that we never needed to use the umbrella. There were no binoculars in the cabin. Toiletries were very good.....Gilcrist and Soames products. A nice change from the lemon grass stuff. We requested a water pitcher, extra hangers, extra towels, and cotton balls. Afternoon canapes must be requested each day. We ordered one day. It was a skimpy plate of cheese and crackers. I missed the fabulous canapes that we got on the Summit a few years ago. We were unhappy with the poor condition of the linens. There were holes in some towels. I had a torn pillowcase. They were still usable. I expected better quality.

MDR select dining was excellent. Food service was good. Food was very good. The OceanView Buffet was horrible. It was completely disorganized. Buffet had no trays. Many food items were in small tins...often cold and dried up. Serving staff was clueless. Unlike my previous Celebrity cruises, this buffet was unstaffed in many places. Where it was staffed, the staff was unhelpful. Signs explaining what was being served in the buffet were often missing. After a few days of guessing what was in the tins, I opted to avoid the buffet. Many other people did the same. Breakfast and lunch in the MDR filled the place. Many people opted to wait for tables rather than deal with eating in the buffet. Pool grill was crowded. They put food in the little tins. Not a great idea. Aqua Spa has stopped serving poached salmon at lunch. Lots of vegies.. Nice place for salad. Many items now have a surcharge. Afternoon tea served at the Aqua Spa was very nice. It provides refreshments to anyone.....including people in bathing suits. Nice change. Elite breakfast is very elegant. It is served in the Normandie. Each table has a triple tiered tray with lots of choices. Special coffee, teas, smoothies, and some alcoholic beverages are served. Afternoon Elite reception in Revelations was poorly attended. It was nice. The grand Brunch is gone.

Entertainment was varied. I liked the 54 Below performer Roz Ryan. Sin City was a mixed bag. Lisa , the cruise director also sang. She was excellent. Captain Demetrios was also very charming. Bermuda was great. Bought a 3 day bus/ferry pass for $35. Ferry service was superb. 20 minutes to Hamilton. 45 minutes to St. George. Buses were a good option for getting around the island. Met many very nice people on the ship. With the exception of the Buffet, the cruise was very nice. I hope that Celebrity rethinks the new proposed changes in the buffet.

Cabin Review

Unobstructed veranda was very nice. Cabin was very quiet.
