We just debarked from a nightmare! Where do I begin!!?? Carnival is cutting back wherever they can. The shows were horrible and short. Entertainment all over the ship was waaaay too loud! The buffet dining area was filthy - dirty tables piled with dishes and food all over. People wandering, trying to find a clean table. Adult pool area was unclean, tables unwiped, and early in the morning, food under chairs left from the night before. Outside theater showed old Cheers and Raymond shows over and over! Babies in DIAPERS in the hot tubs!! The formal dining room - beautiful table by the back window but the food was under par, often cold. We were always rushed, given the menu and within a minute, they were asking for our orders. At the end of a Formal dinner experience, they would BLAST US OVER THE LOUD SPEAKERS with things like WHO LET THE DOGS OUT!!! The night clubs were empty (Henri's) was empty until 10 pm, unused but when open, the music was so loud it hurt your ears! Lots of salsa music, again so loud by the casino that you couldn't visit sitting on the promanade. The decor of the ship is very unattractive, very busy decor. Make sure to bring a parka and ear muffs! Very cold on the ship. Poor entertainment scheduling with activities and shows often overlapping. The comedy shows were good but duplicated. Too much BINGO!!!! The photographers were very pushy. Debarkation was a nightmare! The cruise director was good but please, next time on formal night at the Captain's repeater party, wear a suit or tuxedo and not washed out beige jean pants with a wrinkled shirt! Our room steward was great. Knew our names and used them often. We will NEVER again cruise on the Conquest and probably not on a Carnival for quite some time. Other cruise lines, here we come!
