In many ways, this was among the best of the 20-some cruises we have done on Celebrity. Unfortunately, in one important and deeply concerning way, it was the worst!

The ship is stunning! It is spotlessly clean. Food in MDR and other venues was very good. Service professional and friendly. Cabin well maintained. Senior officers everywhere. Many people working very hard to provide an outstanding "modern luxury" experience.

However, the music around the main pool, with the Miami DJs, was unacceptably loud. So loud at sail away that I could not even hear what my wife was saying, and she was right next to me! So loud that one could feel the vibration of the noise right through one's body! So loud that the speakers around the pool were distorting the sound, adding to the misery. Read more
