The start was not so good as no one seemed to have a clue what was happening with embarkation. We got a note pushed under our hotel door saying that embarkation was to 5pm even though we were due early embarkation as part of our suite. We were given a choice of noon departure to the hotel or 5pm. We took 5pm as we were told there would be no early embarkation and we would have to spend five hours wandering around Tahiti in the heat. As it turns out those that left were embarked and we found out later that anyone who came in on the early flight were embarked. A VERY POOR JOB OCEANIA.

Our penthouse suite was excellent, just what we expected and spacious enough to use and sit comfortably in. It was cleaned twice a day. Our "butler" promised big but his service went downhill quickly during the cruise to the point we were told to get our own laundry tokens. No tip for him in the end as he deserved. Food was very good overall, Jacques was very poor as was the Polynesian buffet in Terrace, but no complaints otherwise. We reserved Privee just for the two of us and were treated like lepers by our butler because we had done so, the Privee staff were superb and very attentive, thank you Darius from Romania. The pool is very small for the amount of guests and the do not reserve your seat by placing towels, books, sun tan lotion on it was not observed. In fact some went to the Super Bore party and left their stuff on their deck chairs. We spent one day on our verandah as we could not get a seat in the public areas. Some pool deck chairs were booked as early as 7am. Staff overall were excellent and knew us by name after the first night on board. We would recommend buying the drinks package as it does save you quite a bit if you have pre dinner, lunch and meal time drinks.

Disembarkation went smoothly but they want rid of you at that point. We felt it was case of get the hell off as we have new people coming on. The maid stood outside our room for close to half an hour waiting for us to get out. You realize that you are just a number in the profit scheme at that point.

Cabin Review

Our room was very good, mid ships, clean and a good size. Bathroom was a good size and everything functioned well. Cleaned well every day. Bed was very comfortable. I would stay in this suite again.
