Ship Facts: Carnival Legend Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Legend Deck Plans
Carnival Legend - Eastern Caribbean
EMBARKATION: A little chaotic. We first had to wait in a holding area with an employee who was rude and obnoxious. After waiting here, we were directed to another long line for i.d. and ticket checking. Next another long line for security gates and finally to the agents who give out Sign and Sail Cards/Room Keys. One last line to get your photo taken for the card.

CABIN: Pretty large for cruise cabin. Colors in bathroom are terrible.

DINING: Food was delicious and of good quality. Buffet was decent with nice selections daily. Sometimes buffet area and surrounding tables were very crowded and it was difficult to get a table. They also had terrible plastic multi colored cups for water etc. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Waiter and assistant waiter were excellent and pleasant. Dining room decor looked like an upscale Greek Diner.

ENTERTAINMENT: Shows were not too bad. Some funny comedians and acts. Poolside entertainment was constant with Tropical Fire band and some poolside activities.

STAFF: Purser's Desk workers were very rude and nasty. Some of the Casino bosses were very nasty as well. Gift Shop employees were also nasty. They would not allow me to order a cake to my table without 24 hours notice. Sent me on wild goose chase to finally order cake and when they brought it to the table, it was the wrong flavor and had the wrong writing on it. The "bouncer" at the club was also nasty. They think their stupid nightclub in the middle of the ocean is in as much demand as the finest upscale clubs in Manhattan. Other then the wait staff and cabin stewards, no one went out of their way to make the vacation enjoyable. SO RUDE, NASTY and ARROGANT.

PORTS: Puerto Rico= Waste, St. Thomas= Nice, Tortola= Replica of St. Thomas.

POOL: Too small, kids galore, splashing saltwater into your eyes. Jacuzzi constantly jammed with little children. Whirlpool in Spa is very nice. Pool security did squat to control rowdy children. One child even went to the bathroom in the pool. Disgusting.

CRUISE DIRECTOR: Lively and upbeat.

ACTIVITIES: Not enough. They play one game of BINGO per day with crappy prizes.

DECOR: Once again, looks like a diner. Urns everywhere. Very ornate and busy. Makes you dizzy.

OVERALL CRUISE: Food is great. Staff is nasty. Would not sail Carnival again. Cruised on Royal Caribbean in the past and Carnival has a far way to go to compare. Not so fun ship!
