This was my first Princess cruise and it was touted by many to be a grand ship so my expectations were somewhat high. Embarkation at Port Everglades went quite well. We did arrive early and navigating the garage/check-in area was a bit of a circus. We had to drive around several times just to drop off our luggage, but after that the line moved rather quickly and we were on the ship heading toward our room in no time.

We booked a balcony cabin with a double bed and were impressed with its spaciousness and efficient compared to other ships. The balcony was large with 4 chairs and a table and the cabin roomy enough not to feel claustrophobic. It would turn out to be one of the highlights of our trip.

On the up side we found the staff to be courteous and the ship was kept spotless. Our cabin steward was especially friendly and seemed to be at work 24 hours a day.
