My husband, his sister and I flew into Ft. Lauderdale the night before the cruise. Stayed at the Airport Best Western which was fine.....good beds and very clean.Had arrangements with QLS to be picked up at 10 Am. Got to the port in Miami shortly and were boarded just after 11. Very easy embarkation.We then met another sister on board who was going with us.
We all went to the Summer Palace for lunch which was not busy and was a great way to begin our cruise. After lunch we went to check out our rooms which were all ready for us. We had sailed on the Epic the previous year with a balcony room and we liked the layout of our balcony room on the Pearl much better.
The first stop was the private island at GSC. Plenty of lounge chairs available and a nice lunch. Water was cold. We all had a nice day there.
