There is a total lack of interest in serving the passengers from any crew member. (1) Our cabin steward was never available and he never knew our names nor did we know his. (2) The dining room staff was "bothered" if you dared to speak to them. I realize that many of them didn't speak any English, but this was the most unfriendly group of people I have ever encountered as servers. We were treated with disdain at breakfast (no one in the dining room) when we asked to move 2 tables together to accommodate our group of 8. Waiter first said he'd have the ask the hostess for permission (she said no, that wasn't allowed), then he said he was sorry but he didn't have enough silverware to set the second table anyway(nevermind that there were many empty tables full of silverware close by...he didn't want to bother to move the silver). (3) I waited in line at customer service to tell them that we wanted a table assignment (sorry, all full), and that all the food was cold ("tell the server to run faster").

Entertainment was nothing short of embarrassing. Do they think that a hairy chest contest or daily trivia shows is engaging? If you didn't gamble or play bingo, there was absolutely nothing to do all day. One 3 person jazz group played occassionally in the main lobby or one of the bars. No live music in the theater, day or night. No movies other than kids' movies played at the pool on a big screen (unless you wanted to pay per view in your room). Evenings were filled with one of two 30 minute lip sync shows, scantily clad ladies gyrating in front of a fake background with revolving lasers (rerun every other night). On the other nights, we were given another trivia contest, no show 1/2 of the nights unless you consider their "BEACH PARTY" at the pool something more than another chance to sell you a few drinks. The last day was the election of "Miss Carnival Breeze," another embarrassment. The contestants were an obese woman selected by the cruise director and a man in drag. Cruel, not funny.

Dining: Specialty restaurants were sold out on day one. The food in the Cucina was good, we were able to eat there on the last night, no such luck with the steak house. The dining room food is mostly inedible. Cold soup is melted ice cream. Beef tastes like it's tenderized horsemeat (I'm seriously not sure it wasn't, it was inedible due to a strange taste). Everything, including all of the egg brunch items, are served at room temperature. My poached eggs were hard boiled eggs thrown on top of a stale english raisin muffin (not ever toasted). I think that some of the food service is malicious. It is below the standard of anything I have ever seen, either on a cruise or in a restaurant.
