We enjoyed a pleasant 11 day Southern Caribbean Cruise aboard the Norwegian Sun over Thanksgiving. Embarkation in Miami on Day 1 was very easy and organized. We arrived at the Port of Miami terminal at 11 am and were on the ship before noon. We were able to enjoy lunch in the Seven Seas restaurant and explore the ship until our room was available at 2 pm. The sail away party and entertainment on the pool deck was enjoyable. We enjoyed meeting the cruise director Jaime, who is a great balance of energy and warmth, and thought that she did an amazing job throughout the entire cruise. However, nightly entertainment on this ship was very average.

We enjoyed all of the sea days, using them to relax, visit the Mandara Spa, workout, and try the specialty restaurants on board. In our opinion, Le Bistro, East Meets West, and Moderno Churrascarria are all worth the extra cover charge. We also signed up for the exclusive Chef's Table dining experience that occurred on Day 4 of our cruise, and there is an extra $75 cover charge per guest . We enjoyed this exclusive experience and plan to do it again on a future cruise.

We especially loved the cruise staff on the Sun; our room steward, Fnu, was exceptionally attentive and we received towel animals each evening. The staff in all of the restaurants and pretty much everywhere on the ship were very friendly. We loved the Sun and still miss the wonderful service that we received.
