We have been cruising with MSC for the last 3 years. This was the 11th cruise with MSC and the 7th on the Divina. This review compares the Transatlantic cruise from the Divina during November 2019 against the previous cruises we did with MSC out of Miami on the Divina, Seaside and Armonia.Comments are the differences between this cruise and all other MSC cruises we took. We didn't compare MSC ...

Disappointing 13 day cruise. Pro: clean ship, accommodating staff, friendly interesting captain. Con: Very few activities. Sea days were particularly boring. Lack lustre cruise director. Food and entertainment were not at all up to par. Limited options and repeated offerings in dining room and Lido buffet. Little fresh fruit and berries. Got worse as days went by. None left half way ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Star

This fall my husband and I traveled from Rome to Miami on a repositioning cruise on the Norwegian Star. We had traveled on the Star before and had not liked the layout of the ship because it lacked quiet bar areas for reading and viewing the ocean. Norwegian touted a complete renovation of this ship so we thought we would give it another try. Quiet space was harder than ever to come by. More ...

Never again on NCL

I wanted to try a transatlantic crossing, and this Rome to Miami cruise looked great. I had not cruised on NCL, but thought i'd give them a try. Earlier this year i did a 20 day cruise on Holland america and they were great! The first problem I encountered was before the cruise. They have packaged deals for dining in the specialty dining rooms, otherwise several of them have ala carte ...

The cruise went to some ports wr hadn’t been to and it ended up in Miami. We typically sail Princess and Celebrity, which we enjoy. We were very disappointed in this cruise. The food in the dining room was fair at best, the service was annoying, they would interrupt your conversations constantly to ask if you wanted more water or pepper on your food. Just pour the darn water and ask one ...

The worst cruise that I ever had.

My back ground: We are a retired couple, we had been cruised with Carnival, RC, Princess, MCS, Celebrity, HAL for about 20 times. This is the first time we cruise with NCL. More than half of our cruise are more than two weeks and back-to-back. Here the report from a straight shooter. - The Civitavecchia cruise port (1 hour train from Rome) is difference than the other cruise port. Passengers ...

Not very comfortable or even safe - especially for persons with special needs

I'm an experienced and pretty easy-going traveler, but depend on a small mobility scooter. I found this ship much more difficult to travel on than any of the many other ships I have taken. Some examples: - The elevators are quite small so you often do not even fit in with others. Also the signal lights does not give you enough notice to make it conveniently to the right door - The main ...

Timing was right for our transatlantic, maybe should have waited a couple more weeks. Nothing unusual about the embarkation or disembarkation. The weather was great on the way over because the captain avoided all the bad weather south of us. Ship is nicely laid out, seems to be enough room for everyone to find a quiet spot if they want. I liked the comfortable couches and lounge chairs. Food ...

This was my fourth crossing and my 20th cruise. My first time with Costa Cruise. Pros: Well laid out ship. Entertainment around the ship was excellent. The entertainment staff wanted you to have fun. They worked very hard. Drinks were very reasonable. Wine bar, Atrium bar very nice. Cabins were very nice and ship was very clean. Cons: The food was sub par. Some nights it was truly ...
