We chose this cruise as our Honeymoon and we both worked OT and saved for it. Now looking back we were told the wrong thing form the start. We were expecting a beautiful cabin with wine strawberry's etc, because that is what we had been told as we communicated with RCI over the last few months, what we got was a dirty, weathered room full that was on poor with a low level motel. (see Pictures) . Not the start of our Honeymoon we were promised. Was told " WE ARE SO SORRY" Day 2 Cranked up the heat in our room after finally putting the things they has promised in there. We had to throw everything out and air out our room. We asked why and were told "Sorry". Day 3 All ports and Shore Excursions canceled. "WE ARE SORRY". Day 4 Charged my wife for a "Complimentary Spa massage, given after all the issues we had!! Had them fix it. Were told " WE ARE SO SORRY 2 days later They withdraw the money that they said they were not going to, out of my wife's account. Asked why they did that and was advised they needed to investigate. But " THEY WERE SORRY" 4 Days Later "WE ARE SO SORRY, WE WERE WRONG". 13 DAYS LATER Money finally returned. We contacted Corp and after multiple calls, were told that due to ruining our Honeymoon, we were only eligible for a 40% discount and $100 on board credit , as long as we cruised with them again. There would be no refund, there would be nothing more that they wished to do for us. SO WE SAID.. SORRY YOU CAN KEEP IT AND WE WONT EVER USE YOU AGAIN> NOT SORRY!!! Read Less

Let me start by saying I am a travel agent and have 32 cruises under my belt. I have been in all size ships and many price levels. This cruise had a base price in the 300’s and it is an older ship and a smaller ship. So I wasn’t expecting Allure of the Seas. I was well aware of what I purchased. So reviewed that are expecting all of the bells and whistles will be let down That said, this ship still has most of the things the bigger ships offer as far as piano bar, comedy shows, theater shows, dining venues etc. but less people. The itinerary was great, although it didn’t seem like the captain tried very hard to get into the private island. I remember a Disney Cruise captain spending an hour and a half trying and got us in eventually. The ship wasn’t even rocking so not sure why it was “not safe” If you go in knowing the theater doesn’t have the best sound system and the rooms are small, RCCL doesn’t offer many television channels, and room service has a fee (fleetwide) you will be okay. Some reviews said they were bored. The activities seemed decent. Each evening there was a piano bar that was fun, karaoke, DJ and dancing, bands, Also theater shows, comedian 2 of 4 evenings, a headliner show (very good Elton John show) nightly movies on the pool deck, game shows, Newlywed Game, Quest, and casino. On our at sea day we had sunbathing, Bands, belly flop contest, game shows, ice carvings, battle of the sexes, Trivia, bingo, casino gaming lessons etc. I can’t inagine how people say they were bored. Our cabin was clean. Ocean view deck 3 mid ship. Very nice view. Hard bed and the shower was not good. It had a curtain instead of a door and it stuck to my rear end. And I’m not a big girl. I could hardly turn around. Food was decent. It’s cruise food. Some good. Some great. Some duds. We had a great time on the long day in Nassau. Key West was fun as well. The cruise director was awesome. All in all for what we paid it was amazing. If you’re expecting a mega ship with laser shows and a full broadway show, diving show, Boardwalk, floweider and a mall, spend a little more and book Allure or Oasis. But for what this is, it’s grear. Read Less

My wife and I have been on many royal carribean cruises we are diamond members we decided on a weekend cruise from Miami to the Bahamas on enchantment of the seas we have also cruises on Celiberty,Disney and Carnival for a friends birthday and we feel the quality of this cruise line is going down they recently changed the menu in the main dining room which cheapened the dinning experience. the quality of food has also gone down in the main dining room and the windjammer cafe Our ship was scheduled to stop at CoCo Cay at the captain decided not to stop because of bad weather which we did not see since it was beautiful out . This is the second time we were scheduled to stop at CoCo Cay in the last two months when we did not stop. Living in Florida I realized I needed to take advantage of the close proximity to cruise ports. This is the shortest cruise I have ever been on but the timing of it couldn't have been better. I took my young son and we had a great time. The ship is slightly older than I'm used to, but I do love the size of this class and that it is not overwhelmingly big. There was always something going on throughout each day and night. Although the weather did not cooperate for Co Co Cay the captain did "follow the sun" and we had a wonderful "at sea" day. Nassau was also a good experience. Leaving the ship was very easy. My JR Suite was big enough to make me not feel cramped and my attendant was outstanding and extremely attentive. I am loyal Royal Caribbean Crown and Anchor member and will continue to be. Read Less

Toilet overflowed before it was even used first day and flooded bathroom, took two hours for someone to show up. They brought towels when they showed up when we needed a plumber. We called 4 different numbers for hours. I was up until 3am using every towel in my room to make sure it didn't flood on to the carpet. Safe broke because battery was too low, again called twice to address and it took hours for someone to show. When they showed they opened it, said battery was low and left. By this point it was so late at night I just went to bed. Worst thing that happened is I had an allergic reaction at the Vitality Spa on my face because of products they used at the pamper party. This completely turned me off from getting the facial and massage I had planned to get all week. Guest Services told me to purchase a specific package that would last the entire cruise and it only lasted 24 hrs. I will say there were some good points to the cruise. The dining was wonderful in the main dining room. The stateroom attendant was great about cleaning and staying on top of our needs and the cruise director was a joy every day! The stateroom with a balcony was also enjoyable except for all the problems we had with some of the amentities in the room. Read Less

Our first time cruising, last time with Royal Caribbean. i actually wanted to do 1 out of five but decided to do 2/5 just because of the hard working staff. Do yourself a favor, and don't waste your money on this cruise, you are better off spend your money on a nice resort. Here is why I gave them a poor rating: *The main reason that we booked this cruise is to go to Cocokay island. But the ship did not dock there for "safety" reasons. All we got is just apology, no compensations or partial refund. I guess they had the same problem docking at this island multiple times before on previous cruises yet they still put it on your itenary. ITS A SCAM and false advertising folks. * Rooms are extremly small, even though I paid extra for the "bigger Room", I still got a room that barely fit a bed and a night stand and it make you feel clusterphobic. *Bathrooms are extremly small and they are almost the size of an airplane bathrooms. the shower area could barely fit me and I am a skinny guy. The bathrooms smell like sweage. Discusting. *The entire second deck looks very dingy. *The food in the dining room is subpar, and it's bland to say the least. it taste like it has been prepared long time ago and just got reheated. *The pools are very small and overcrowded. however, the worse part is the pool water was freezing cold eventhough it was sunny and 85 degree every day. * The excursions are overpriced and crappy. they just want to charge you the maximum possible. * The Guest Service desk if always busy and you have to wait about half an hour to talk to someone. I guess that what happens when you have two attendants working on a ship of 3000 people. * I am not a gambler but they let people smoke in the Casino. So if you are a non-smoker and you want to gamble then you are out of luck. * The immigration process took for ever and it wasn't organised. * getting our sailing pass took forever because the line was stretch for a mile. * They add service charge on every bill even though we PRE-PAYED GRATUNITY on the total amount of the cruise charge. * Most of their onboard shows are boring and they talk bad about their competitors. The only good thing is that the staff are very nice and helpful but they are overworked. Read Less

Overall the crew and staff were excellent. You never waited for a drink refill or assistance to do anything. The shows were ok. The highlight were the two musical variety shows. The stage is feeling it’s age. Some stage lights were broken or off, especially in the first show. The two comedies were what I’d expect in an older poconos resort. Ok if there is nothing else to do but not something I’d go to a second time. Food was plentiful. There bread and pastries were top notch. Chops grill was worth the 50 up charge for the two of us. Did not make it to cocci cay due to weather but the captain brought us to nice weather for our unexpected day at sea Tried rock wall. It was fun.staff was supportive. Tried bungee trampoline It was fun. Anyone could do it. Nice view while jumping Overall I’d try a different ship Read Less

It is one of the worst vacation that we took. The first time on a cruise ship and the last time with royal Caribbean. If you are reading this post, don’t waste your money. The only reason that I gave the 2/5 is because of the hard working staff onboard the ship. Here are some of what experienced onboard the ship: 1. Long waiting lines to get your sailing card 2. Very small rooms even though we thought we paid extra to get a bigger room. The room does barley fit the king size bed. 3. The bathrooms are extremely small. They resemble airplanes bathrooms. The shower are could barely fit me and I am a skinny person. The bathrooms smelled like sewage when we checked in. The couch is nasty. 4. The ship missed one of the Coco island one of destinations due to “rough seas”. The main reason we booked the trip just to go see the island. So we spent an extra day on water. They just gave us a small apology with no compensations whatsoever. 5. Rust everywhere. This ship needs a major remodeling or decommissioned. 6. The food in the dining room is subpar. It taste like it had been cooked days before and just got reheated. The lunch buffet was just ok. 7. The shows were ok, nothing special there. 8. The pool water was freezing cold. I don’t know how they managed to keep the water cold even though was 85 degree and sunny every day. 9. the whole second floor looked dingy 10. the excursions were overpriced and boring to say the least. On the flip side the wait staff in the dining room and the restaurant and the housekeeping are hard working people. Read Less

Was very smooth getting on the ship and room was ready by 1:30pm with luggage waiting for us. Stateroom attendant, Joel was wonderful! One morning we didn't get an item ordered for breakfast room service and had to leave for excursion. Came back to find an apology note and chocolate covered strawberries. The ship was clean and well maintained. This was my first cruise so I do not have any other ships to compare. Food was great in Windjammer for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many options. We only ate dinner in the main dining room and appetizers, meals and dessert were all enjoyable. The shows we saw in theater were from stage to screen and a rock music one. So much talent and really fun/engaging. 70's/80's and 90's dance parties were a lot of fun. Service was good, bars busy sometimes and had to wait but nothing to complain about. We didn't get to go to Coco Cay which was a huge bummer due to high winds. Staff changed plans around and kept the day running smooth but felt people were on top of each other. One pool wasn't working the last day so there was a lot of traffic around the main one. Blue Lagoon in Bahamas was beautiful and dolphin encounter was really fun. Overall a great trip to Nassau and Key West! Read Less

Food was fantastic, we had all our dinners in the main dining room, we didn’t dress up much, They aren’t strict on this, just not hats, singlets etc. service was amazing. Buffet lunches were great in coco cay and on the boat. We had buffet breakfast one morning and off the menu in main dining the next 2 both options were great. Our room was on deck 7 room 100, it had a queen bed and sofa bed and room was bigger than we expected, this room has the bonus of a full window and window seat, which not many have, bathrooms are small but you are on a ship! Let's start by saying that I am a seasoned cruiser and have been on many voyages with different cruise lines and on different continents. Chose this ship for the dates sailed and number of nights. Booked the cruise as a surprise for my husband's 50th birthday. Ordered room decorations, strawberries and champagne and a cake prior to departure. None was actually done. Disappointing! Very tired and unkept ship. Staterooms dingy, bathroom mirrors old and peeling, rust on the outside decks makes you wonder if the ship will fall apart. Strong odor in the hallways. The carpets in the stateroom dirty and damp. Water pools in the shower and does not drain. Toilets don't flush properly. Balcony doors between adjoining cabins don't open. Chairs and couches in staterooms stained and grimy. Beds are worn out. Everything on the ship is extra. Want decent coffee? $5, tips included with options to add more tips. Pictures? Pay twice if people in the pictures are in 2 separate rooms. Umbrella on the private beach? $25. Water bottles? $20 for 6 small bottles. Win the "grand prize" of $50 on shore? It's a discount coupon if you spend extra... Want a steak or shrimp for dinner? It's extra $ in the main dining room. The main course choices were so poor that I did not even bother with the main course. Luckily, our wait staff brought me a few extra appetizers... The staff is overall just ok, with the exception of our wait staff who were outstanding. The shows were nice, comedians, dancers and singers very talented and entertaining. Our last evening on board, we came to the room to find urine on the toilet seat, white goop all over the bathroom sink, hairs (yuck!) and a drill on top of clean towels. Gross!!! Reported to security. Cleaned the bathroom ourselves. Were offered a minor discount for a next cruise of we choose to sail within 12 months. In one word: Very disappointing. Read Less

We chose this cruise line because of short 3 night trip. We are very disappointed int the RC Suite cruise experience. We are 1st class travelers who expect the best, as we were promised, but was not delivered on this cruise line. Poor and very slow room service. Food was sub-standard from room service. Ship was not well maintained. Appearance was warn, lots of rust and wear an tear. While sun bathing on our deck, two men appeared, unannounced or expected, on a scaffold passing by our room painting the ship. The was very disturbing. Toilet smelled like porta-potty. Shops and almost all restaurants were closed during the day. Only one venue to eat at until dinner. US television shows all with voice over in Spanish. I checked language setting on television, it was English. We stayed in an owners suite, but there were little amenities as compared to our cruise experiences on the Princess Cruise line. Read Less

Wanted a deal. This provided a great bang for my buck. The three days was perfect. The staff was professional, pleasant and helpful. They seem to truly love their jobs. They seem to work very long hours, but I was only on a three day cruise. There may be more room for a break after guests disembark. The food was very good. The windjammer dinning room may be less formal, but I personally enjoyed those meals more. The My Fair Lady dining room/the more formal eating area had great options, three course meal, and great service. Loved the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream on the sixth floor. I’d suggest you get a drink package, so that you don’t constantly have to worry about additional costs for drinks. For the three days you may end up spending $150 per person for the drink package, but it is worth it. We got a small interior state room, it was very clean and the space was very well used. At no time did we feel claustrophobic, but it was by no means an excessively spacious area. With that said, it was clean and perfect for our three day cruise. I absolutely cannot say enough about the staff. Every single person that we came across on the Enchantment of the Seas was incredibly professional, helpful and downright amazing at their jobs. Beware, you may get seasick but guest services will provide complementary nausea medicine. I highly recommend this experience. Read Less

It was fun and I enjoyed the pools on the ship and loved the adult only pool. The entertainment and shore excursions need work. The singer was horrible and the excursions were not exciting, swimming with the dolphins and something else, unremarkable. Ship: Showing wear, but nice and public areas are clean Cabin: My carpet smelled like feet and the restroom like urine (despite daily cleaning) ship needs deep cleaning (think the urine smell came from under the bathroom vinyl Dining: Make a reservation or you will wait a long time! Night of Reggae and Rum shore excursion in Nassau a bust. Worst experience ever. Anywhere. Dingy, poorly presented, poor decorated basement "underground" bar with loud, low quality performers. Simply not what was expected and quite frankly, not what was paid for. I expected traditional island reggae music in an entertaining fun atmosphere with significant participation. What we experienced.....22 participants of which over 1/2 left within 1 hour of the start simply because it was not fun, pleasant or enjoyable. I can't speak for why the other 10 left. But we left because it was not a good experience. Just loud and ugly. Waste of money. Everything else on our cruise was great and it's too bad that I cannot separate out this one ugly experience from the overall experience as this website does not have provisions for me to do this. The Pearl Island shore excursion in Nassau and the tour of the port on the way back was really great. Coco Cay, the bungalows and the jet ski's were a wow day.Terrific beach. Nice amenities. fun to experience the tide going out and the huge sand bars. Great tour guide for the jet skis. Fun activity and well put together. If anything could be fixed for the Coco Cay experience....something better for lunch service choices would help. Our hot food was stone cold and the tacos were mush by the time we got to it because our jet ski shore excursion was for between noon and 1 pm. meaning that we had to leave our bungalow at 11:30 am and did not get back to the bungalow till 1:55 p.m and there was no accommodation by the RCCL for the food to be delivered well before we had to leave for the excursion OR for it to be held till after we returned. No flexibility and no accommodation. So while I asked for it to be delivered as close to 1:30 pm as possible...(the "rules" required that I had no choice but to choose my lunch delivery for a period from 1 to 1:30 pm. So...lunch was crap when we got to it at 2 pm. The glass bottom boat in Key West was very enjoyable and worth the expense. It was nice that we got lucky and had a significant number of dolphins along the drive out to the reef. The shops in Key west had some very interesting and different items too which was refreshingly enjoyable. We very much loved the Everglades tour but wished that the air ride portion was more than just 30 minutes. That took away from the tour and seems excessively short. Especially when the tour guide starts off by saying I don't know how we'll be able to do anything with only 30 minutes. (Does that mean that a normal ticket is for more than that?) Made me feel like I was being ripped off before we even started. Anyway.....we had ample time to sit in the sun and view the remainder of the rescue animals and alligators once we got back to shore. One thing that could be very much better is the baggage transfer for the Everglades shore excursion. No one mentioned that I was going to have to carry 5 suitcases down stairs to exit the ship and also have to carry these bags all the way to customs and then outside of the terminal simply because I had booked this excursion. Surely, those on this excursion should be able to have their bags placed on specially labelled luggage carts that can deliver the baggage to the carousels first. (as soon as the ship docks.) It's not like we got away from the parking lot any earlier as it was 9:00 am before the shuttles left the parking lot while we waited for 3 people to show up. The main dining room was just great. Our waiter, Oswaldo, was extra special beyond belief and we just had a great time and he pampered us in every way one could imagine. The food was good. Some food was extra good like the beef tenderloin and the turkey dinner. All in all......very good and well done. The staterooms were fine and well taken care of. The beds a little old, saggy, overly firm but thanks to Joseph for taking great care of us and our needs. The staff and crew were a real delight...This being our first cruise was a great initiation to cruising and much appreciated. Read Less

We were first time cruisers looking forward to an adventure together. Ship information: Royal Caribbean - Enchantment of the Seas. Activities - Plenty to do on board, and a nice variety of excursions. Service – Superior. Port & shore excursions - While at Nassau, we went to the VIP Dolphin Excursion. It was amazing to be in the water with Goombay, the Dolphin. We swam holding his fins and were pushed through the Lagoon area by our extended leg, which was an amazing experience. The tour guides and trainers at Blue Lagoon did an excellent job. The Sunset Harbour Cruise - NSN4 that evening, however, was a big disappointment. The tour guide, Lori, walked so fast when leaving the pier she left me and my disabled wife completely behind. Lori didn’t look back once on the trek to the boat, the attendees were separated over several blocks. During the Sunset Harbour Cruise, emphasis was mainly on tips and selling the rum punch out of an igloo drink cooler. We were on our own to get back to our ship. Key West was also a very nice place to visit. We utilized the Conch train to explore and learn more about the area. We plan another trip to that area to explore a bit more. The time we were in port at Key West was a bit short.. Travel to embarkation port – The process of returning to the US was smooth. Cabin – Suite 8610. Our attendant, Jefferson provided us with flawless service and attention to detail. Dining - .Food and service in the Windjammer and My Fair Lady dining room was excellent. Both Igor and The provided superb service. Entertainment – Almost Elton John, Late Night Adult Comedy with Zoltan Kaszas and Can’t Stop the Rock were highly entertaining, superior performances. Disembarkation Leaving the ship was a little sad, the attention to detail was s enjoyable, but the process was smooth. Summary - Great trip, would definitely do it again. From beginning to end, Royal Caribbean - Enchantment of the Seas was a great experience. Had a suite-level state room with priority boarding and got right on with no issues. Cabin was clean and spacious and our steward, Jefferson, was very attentive. Great looking ship - had a lot of charm and style. Dining was great. Highly recommend. Entertainment was great and fun. Key West was great - although we felt we didn't get to spend enough time there. Great port and with a lot of time to explore. Royal Caribbean Service was excellent throughout, all staff were friendly and fun. I have nothing at all bad to say about this Cruise and will sail again with them. I will note that the “Sunset Harbour Cruise - NSN4” excursion was very disappointing. Read Less

Service was great but does not have a lot of options inside. I expected to have more restaurants and activities. We discovered there were snacks the third day. You do not receive a detail information at the beginning. I would like o have plays in theater, or something else to do no such dancing or music. Beverage cost is ridiculous, so expensive, there must have a plan for family, i have to buy a plan and so do my wife. Once I went to the bar with my wife card, and the bartender asked me to call her to obtain a glass of wine. I felt like if i was a thieve. Excursions are very poor, cruise line need to be more involved. I went by myself in Nassau and also in Key West. Lost a lot of time guessing where are the facilities and what to do. Stores does not open everyday. Does not have pharmacy and there is no snack store to buy anything you need after hour. After disco time, there was only one snack station that nobody new about it. Solarium place is very close and is so hot that is difficult to breath. Read Less

My boyfriend & I went on our first cruise together, my first one ever, and the Enchantment of The Seas exceeded our expectations. From the moment we stepped on board, we felt like royalty! Everyone was so nice & accommodating. The ship was beautiful. There was always so much to do onboard and different atmospheres to enjoy. We loved having our cruise compass at night and having the "what's going on right now" digital screen was awesome, we checked it almost every hour and loved the ability to just pop in and out of places. The crew was hilarious and really took pride in putting on great shows for us and getting the everyone in the crowd involved. The islands we visited were a dream. It was easy to get on and off-board to visit the islands and go on our excursions. We do wish we had more time on the islands, but the fast-paced atmosphere has to be expected on a cruise. We understood this and just looked forward to our next adventure the next day. The only reason I give this a 4-star rating was because the only thing that wasn't amazing was the food - but that doesn't mean it was bad at all! We took advantage of the buffet at the windjammer for breakfast and dined in the main dining room and Chop's Grill as well. It just wasn't a WOW experience when it came to food. But, it was still satisfactory! Overall, this cruise was amazing and we are already looking forward to planning our next one in Alaska :) Read Less

This is a great boat. A little older but still nice. A four night cruise was long enough to get our feet wet. The room (8080) had plenty of room for a family of 4. Joseph the room attendant was always friendly and attentive. Dining was A+++, with the staff making us feel like family and even sharing dishes from their home county, make sure to try jerk chicken from Jamica. Don't bother with taxis in Nasau and pack good shoes. Cococay is small and turning into a fun park type atmosphere. Go to the far side of the island to get away from the bulk of people. Staff on coco cay seemed like they had better things to do. The time cut short due to bad weather approaching. There was also plenty to do on the ship for everyone. My 9 yr old boy loved the rock climbing on the aft of the ship. Kids are also included in the evening entertainment areas. Read Less

I booked a cruise to the Bahamas, from April 9th - the 13th for my fiancee's 50th Birthday celebration. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire event with the exception of wait for the bus ride from the hotel to the ship. We were told to be outside the Courtyard Marriott by 11:30 am to catch the bus, but the bus didn't show up until almost 2:00pm. Once we got on board the Enchantment everything from then on was 5 star service. Everyone smiled and was extremely polite the entire cruise. My Statesman for my room ( 4008 ) was so awesome that I could compliment him alone for this survey, but since I have returned home, the only thing I keep telling everyone is that it was probably one of the nicest getaways I've ever been on in my 51 year of life... I can't express enough how nice and polite the entire crew was to everyone. It was at a point to where it became contagious. AWESOME JOB..!!! Read Less

My wife decided to surprise me for my birthday and booked this cruise, I have to say that I strongly believe this was one of the best c=vacations we have ever been (on a weekend) Royal Caribbean crew is exceptional, I would not pick another cruise line. Room was very clean and Jonathan made sure every time that we were taken care of. Food was exceptional, Gerard and Mya provide Star service (5 star would be an under statement) Traveled with my wife only, I will come back with the kids next time. We went to Coco Cay and Nassau, the excursions offered were great, the prices and services were exceptional. Food and transportation from the ship to the shore and back was great, clean and fast. Port of MIA was fast and friendly, I would say much better than the airport. Will definitely go back soon. Thank you very much for an experience we will never forget. Read Less
