My husband 2 1/2 year old daughter and I just got back from a wonderful cruise on the Carnival Victory. We booked our cruise with a large agency and got a great deal. We were in Category 6E which is on the Spa deck (11). The location was extremely close to the deck areas and the pools. The stateroom was large and it featured floor to ceiling windows which gave a great panoramic view as we set sail. We opted for this type of stateroom because we were not sure how secure the door would be on the balcony and we did not want our toddler to get hurt.

On embarkation day we were able to get on the ship extremely early (12:00 noon) The process is a little lengthy and their are plenty of lines to stand in but the process went smoothly. Get ready to take TONS of pictures whether you feel like it or not. They have photographers everywhere! It is insane...now I know what J-LO feels like : ) The pictures always seem to come out great which makes them hard to resist so I suggest setting aside $50-$100 on pictures alone...The photographers seemed to get my squeeming toddler to stay still long enough to get some really great shots.

The food was great and fresh...very plentiful as well...do not be shy at all if you want seconds or (God help you) thirds go for it...just look at the plates that pass by your table that are piled so high that they defy gravity and you will pop out of your chair in an instant with no shame! The formal dining room is run with military precision without feeling too rushed. They cater to you and make you feel really comfy and they have the best dispositions and personalities. I had Victor & Nina at table 217 in the Atlantic dining room. The best! I celebrated my birthday on board and they made everything extra special!
