I am an avid cruiser and have sailed the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe and the Greek Isles. We spend the winters in Florida and figured we'd take the family on a weekend cruise to the Bahamas. I wasn't expecting a lot considering it was not very expensive and it was only a two night cruise, but was blown away with how nice the ship and staff was and how much fun we had. Pulled up to the port of Palm Beach, valet parked (very nice touch) and entered the terminal. Very efficient check in process and we were on board in no time. Booked two outside cabins on the 6th deck, one for my husband and I and the other for my son and daughter in law with their daughter. The cabins were clean and comfortable. Not very large but comparable to other ships. The rooms had flat screen tv's and the bathrooms were a little bigger than most ships. For a short cruise, there was a ton of things to do. The two story night club was huge and the casino was by far the nicest I've seen on any cruise ship. They had many blackjack tables, texas Hold em, 3 card poker, a full sized craps table, roulette, slots, etc. We had a choice of three restaurants at no extra charge including an Italian buffet that was still open when we went to bed late at night. We ate at the Crystal Room and had the best Beef Wellington of my life. We were going to try the upgrade restaurant (the Cove) the second night but the food was so good the first night that we went to the other regular restaurant instead and had another great meal (try the grouper). The show was great and Steve Zimmerman (comedian) is not to be missed .There was a karaoke competition with the winner getting a free cruise and chance to come back and compete for $100k. We didn't have the guts to try but it was a lot of fun watching and the audience chose the winner. They had supervised activities for children so my son and his wife were able to see the show and get a little gambling in on the first night. My granddaughter played all kinds of games with the other children and had the time of her life. And that was before she spent the next day at the kids' pool with their giant slide and at the ice cream parlor. We went to Our Lucaya for our shore excursion and spent the day on a beautiful beach. Everything was perfect and the staff was amazing. We will be regulars on this ship. It is a tremendous value for the money.
