Cabin: Fantastica Balcony Stateroom

Our second cruise on MSC. The Seaside is an amazingly beautiful ship. We had a balcony cabin (Fantastica) #11189. The cabin was adequate but could use a little more storage space.

We had the 5:30 dinner seating on deck 5 and were seated two very nice couples and enjoyed lively conversations every night. Overall the food was very good. The soups, however with the exception of the French onion, were watery; bisques and chowders should be thick. The wait staff was very professional.

We had all our breakfasts in the dining room and lunches in the buffet. We were very pleased with the food selection provided in the buffet with an abundance of healthy options. There were two downsides of the buffet; one was the pizza and the other is the lack of sugar-free desserts. Being originally from New York with its great pizza and having travel in Italy, the pizza was not what I would expect from an Italian based cruise line. We were very pleased with the availability of fresh fruit at the buffet late at night.
