We wanted to visit countries in southeast Asia that were on our bucket list. This cruise fit the bill and we were also able to spend another week in Australia. The ship was a nice size.. roughly 2000 passengers. Ship was clean but there was a lot of rust on the ship. Our room B547 was a standard balcony room. The patio door was not airtight and needed a small block of wood to be wedged into the window frame to force an air tight seal otherwise the patio door whistled at all hours of the day and night. The food was average in the dining room, buffet and outdoor terrace buffet. On a long cruise, you will find that the food menu starts to look boring after the first 14 days. Also found the steak I ordered in Sterling's to be full of gristle. Looks like Princess is cutting back of staff and other amenities... there are no longer any wine packages or laundry packages available. The staff in the buffet area seems to be very thin for the food counters and cleanup crews. I was hard to find tables where there were no dirty dishes on it. A bonus was that there were only 2 ports that required a tender boat. Two ports required a very long taxi or bus trip into the town. Phu My, Vietnam involved a 1.5 hour drive to get to Ho Chi Minh City and Laem Chabang, Thailand involved a 3 hour drive to get to Bangkok and a 2 hour drive back to the ship. Needless to say, we lost 3 hours and 5 hours respectively from our private tours.

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin BC
Great location, comfy bed, and quiet. Balcony was full of rust and needed a paint job.
Patio window needed a retrofit. Air whistled in at all hours of the day or night. We were given a block of wood to wedge in between the patio frame and the sliding patio door.
