We normally sail RC and Celebrity. We gave NCL a try based on this itinerary. We enjoyed all ports and most port excursions. The Train, bus and boat adventure in Costa Rica was our only disappointment. Most of the sparse vegetation you could see from the train was dried up. Most of the excursion time was taken up by waiting for several bus loads of people to arrive and board each car. Not worth the money paid. Website information on excursions was inconsistent from info contain in onboard documents and conveyed by Shore Excursion staff. This resulted in our having to make several trips to Shore Excursions Desk to change pre-paid excursion choices.

Garden Cafe food choices were limited, most tasteless and crammed two rows deep in small area. I understand that this is a smaller ship but I was still disappointed in food options. But having to reach over dishes of food to get to food dishes in back row just didn’t feel sanitary. It would work better if staff would serve food on back row.

Temperatures in Stardust Theater and Bliss Lounge were so cold I would have needed a coat to be comfortable. As a result, I had to just skip some shows. Read more
