I chose this cruise because it left from New Orleans (so we could visit my inlaws), and the price was right at $1300 for a family of 5. Embarkation was hideous, workers were rude, I kept telling my husband I felt like we were criminals the way we were talked to, and the way they moved us along like cattle. I was so upset I said I would NEVER cruise with Carnival again.

On the plus side we got our luggage within 20 minutes of getting into our room, and we were very pleased with that. Our steward would call us by name, and would show up almost immediately when we requested something. When we got to room the sink was plugged and the door to the bathroom wouldn't close and lock. However they sent workers immediately to fix it. Although I liked our steward he didn't clean our room that good. There was food by the baseboards that I had to pick up so my toddler wouldn't eat it. The room was dusty and the walls dirty. I had to clean and wipe down things to feel comfortable.

One of my children ate chocolate cake in bed...mistake, because even though there was a huge chocolate stain our sheets weren't changed. The steward simply flipped the bedding and "hid" the stain. We soon realized our bedding was never changed, stains were just hidden.
