I chose the Rhine River cruise because I was able to have the single supplement waived and I was interested in seeing the river I read about in school. The food was tasty and tied to the locale which was nice as well. The staff was attentive to needs. It was easy to leave my belongings and explore Amsterdam on my own. This was good because I had a pre-booked visit to the Ann Frank House. A suggestion I have is to check the cabin and particularly the bedding. The only drawback was the pillows which were much softer than I am accustomed to. Would I go with Avalon again? Yes, but I will not hesitate to bring my own pillow. I enjoyed the the fact that most of the excursions were included. I received help from the cruise director and I was quite impressed with Colmar, France, only I wish I had more time there.

Deluxe Stateroom with Half-Height Windows

Cabin E

Cabin had ample room. As I said before, The pillows were too soft for me. I had to get it corrected the next day but by that time my neck was sore.
