We wanted to try MSC as it is new line to us and and is a beautiful ship offering something unique no other line has. So many negative things said I was a bit concerned for what we were going to experience but I always take them with a grain of salt because frankly people can complain about things I just don't find an issue with. I am so glad I didn't let the negative ones sway me and this Canadian had a blast.

The international feel of the ship is what set it apart for us with all the different languages spoken from all over the world. To expect an "Americanized" ship is really a disservice to MSC because that is not what they are and there were more people from Europe aboard than North Americans so to expect it to be like RCL or Carnival is just not realistic nor would I want it to be. Go on those lines if that is what you want but we enjoyed meeting others from all over the world. The universal language of music and drinks allowed us to communicate with so many plus we learned some phrases to help us out in several languages. (There is english on board so don't fret)

I can't stress enough how amazing it all was! As we booked the Yacht Club for a special celebration it was everything and more than we were expecting and our time reflects the differences from Aurea, Fantastica, & Bella cruisers.

Cabin Review

Yacht Club Deluxe Suite

Cabin YC1

Wonderful cabin with a huge bathroom big enough for 2 to get ready or more if you had kids along. The shower was amazing with marble floors, and a bench allowing not one elbow hit the wall. There were 2 shower heads one removable, wall shampoo and body wash. Storage was abundant with 2 closets and sets of drawers, bedside drawers, under the bed space and a large dividing shelving unit. The beds were so comfortable it was tough to get out of them in the morning. A large balcony with chairs to enjoy and a table/footrest. Analise, out steward, took great care of us with special treats at night and friendly greetings by name everyday! I don't think we used our butler Franco to his full potential but I can see where you could really get some special treatment.

Take an extra power outlet as only one plugin you couldn't fit two chargers at a time in. There is a USB port by the bed to use and plenty of side table storage.
