We specifically choose this cruise so we could visit Cuba. In addition we had never been on Norwegian and wanted to experience “free style cruising “. We enjoyed the ability to dine whenever we choose to. Also having unlimited adult beverages was a plus.

We were allowed to board as early as 11 am. This gave us time to explore and get to know the ship prior to the cruise. Once we embarked, we enjoyed several different longes and cocktails. The service throughout the cruise was excellent especially in the main dining rooms. We liked the idea of having specialty restaurants to choose from but unfortunately we were not impressed with either the food or the service. The original itinerary indicated that we would arrive in Key West at 0330 but didn’t arrive until 1530. Giving us less than 4 hours to explore the city.

Our next stop was Cuba. We arrived early and had the opportunity to explore a bit of Havana prior to our excursion. This gave us a good feel for the city. Read more
