we sailed eastern caribbean on 1/9..embarkation was a breeze including having someone with us in a wheelchair..we arrived at 1145 in the rain and were onboard by noon. swift easy and friendly embarkation,followed by a personal escort to your cabin to get your approval(unlike other cruiselines whi tell you they're not ready until 130) we went to the welcome onboard buffet and were greated with wonderful italian and continental cuises..best rare roest beef i have had in a long time. we had early seating in la fontaine and our service was fantastic.waiter was safiari from indonesia and his busboy was from hondurus and they never missed a beat..excellent service..From the lasagne bolongnese on the first night to the grilled swordfish on the last night the food was one excellent dish after another...we stuck to the italian side of the menu as each night is a different region of italy..among some of the great foods we indulged in were, ossobucco,eggplant parmagiana,fusilli pasta,saeth(fish),halibut, napaolitano meatballs,gnocchi,cannollini,a very genereous cut of prime rib, tuscan chicken, regional bean soups that were outstanding,and incredible deserts and ice cream, including, tiramasu, zuppa inglese and canollis.. The entertainment was fantastic. the shows were very well presented and not to long. dancers were great and had great costumes, stage sets were great, acrobats and jugglers were great and the singers were vert good as well. the entertainment team were a blast and kept us entertained playing nutty games and trivia and dance lessons all day at the pooland then in the evening games like the ABBA gama, more dance lessons and dancing in the disco with us till the wee hours..They wewre there for you to have a good time with and really seamed to enjoy there jobs...My father at 72 yrs old won the mr poesia contest which was very funny and a blast. The ship was immaculate..you could eat off the floors..the spa was wonderful and the sauna and steam room had the perfect temperatures..we made all 4 of our ports early which gave us more time in port...i cant speak highly enough of the great time we had and tthis was my 47th cruise having traveled on most of the mainstream lines...would not hesitate to book msc again,especially for the price
