We choose this cruise for location and size of ship to have a family experience with our adult children and grandchildren; however, since it was during spring break (which we learned was all of March) our grandchildren did not have access to the small pool as 'spring breakers' lined the pool without a break to have anyone else enter the water. Yes, we had access to the splash pad but that was not something our 8 -13 year old grandchildren could enjoy (which numbered eleven children without a pool option)
We purchased drink cards but found the bars to focus on alcohol drinks versus soda pop (which they had but you had to wait in a very long line to get one - yes there were people walking around taking orders but they focused on the adult kids ordering alcohol drinks NOT families or kids).
Be prepared to wait a while to get ON the ship; they are great at letting you hang out while you wait for your room. Make sure you keep a bag with you that includes swimming suits, change of clothing, sunscreen, and money. This will make your first day go smoother.
