My husband and I have been on 19 Cruises with Carnival being the one we choose most of the time. In November of 2017 we were on a 5-day cruise to the Keys and Cozumel. I can honestly say I have been on a bad cruise until this cruise, this ship was terrible! Let’s start with our cabin. Our room smelled like the sewer off and on. I do not believe it was cleaned from the previous cruise. The floor was not vacuumed, there was chocolate on a corner of the sheet that drapes over the comforter, the couch in our suite that pulled out to a bed was sticky and the comforter on that had what looked like someone had eaten Cheetos and wiped their hands on it. The Kleenex box was empty the whole cruise and when I pulled one off from the bathroom shelf and placed it on the counter it was never put into the Kleenex container. On our second day when we went to get off ship I told the cabin person that our floor needed to be cleaned, he asked if we wanted our room cleaned in the am or pm, I said pm but the floor needed to be vacuumed now! I was a little confused because on all other cruises they have made up the beds in the morning and turned them down each night, why am I paying him at end of cruise if I had to make my bed every day which is what I ended up doing?

On all the other cruises it is normal to see hand sanitizers all over the ship, not on the Victory, on the first night in the dining room we saw one when entering but it was empty. Also on all other cruises you always see people cleaning everywhere, not on the Victory.

Now let’s get to the food. It was not good! We have had many conversations with friends defending Carnival's food. I personally do not like buffet food, no matter where it is so we always go to the Dining room and that is what we tell friends when they say "I heard Carnival's food is not good" but this time I can say it was not good.
