Just completed this cruise from corfu- split-dubrovnick-venice-kotor-koper-corfu.

Overall you could not fault this cruise regards food cabins and ports , but there are a few points that you have to bear in mind firstly the ship is old and tired, plenty of rust around the deck areas , the cabins are clean but as I said tired, the cabin crew keep them clean a tidy, the food is not ala carte, but I feel you would find it hard not find something you would like to eat either in the main orion restaurant od sirens, the extra price they ask you to pay for the other smaller Restaurants on board is just not worth it, The shows in the evening ar basically awful , Firstly the cruise director (Jokey Johnny!!!) is REALLY ANNOYING!!! it like a Butlins at sea with forced laughter the entertainment crew walk around with a forced smile, the cruise director after one show decided to interview all ten of the singer / dancers where they were from etc etc etc, we all lost the will to live and walked out, the singers Cannot sing and try to out sing each other very amateur, the best entertainment was the mens group in tides lounge. Thompsons do try to get every penny out of you, I will explain- as soon as you arrive photo on dockside £10, if you do not have a drinks package £190, then they ask you to upgrade for another £50, you would have to be an Alcoholic to get your money back, be care full if you have got the package as the waiters on deck suddenly come round with sangria that you think they are giving away but its another £2.50, want to have a tour of the bridge £49, they have an auction on board for signed celebrity photos / shirts etc one item auction done by the dopey cruise director £2000.0 no-one bought it!!, the captains night is your chance to dress have your photo taken with the captain more £££, the restaurant has two sittings that evening much better, but normally it is free dining, 7/9.30, come any later than 7.30/7.50 and chaos ensues you will have to wait, one evening the officer in charge lost it with staff members they just could not cope, the need two sittings better for crew serving and customers.

port trips are horrendous in price if you book with thompsons, the only trip i would recommend is the Venicer trip with the gondola, as they take you into venice by launch and return you back to the ship, I say this as where the ship docks it is a long way from St Marks Square and it is awarkward to get the water bus from the dock, when the ship docks, I was quoted 30 euro return but no times, Venice is packed and beware there are NO SEATS TO SIT DOWN IN ST MARKS SQUARE!!! if you sit on any steps etc you will be moved on with the threat of a150 euro fine from groups of walkers from the city protection group, also a basic cup of tea was 14 euro, glass of wine 25 euro beware, go to snack bars/ and pizza/pasta restaurants in the back streets half the price.

Cabin Review

Cabin 2 berth inside

We had cabin 6005 it was well maintained very clean, the towels are a little worn and the shower was uncontrollable/ red hot or freezing cold, television and mini bar, the crazy thing is we had a Drinks package included due to early booking, we could drink cocktails / whisky all day for free, but a bottle of water 2 euros??? crazy, mini bar was expensive, deck our friends had a cabin on deck 7 towards the rear of the ship very noisy at night under the casino and bar areas, no point in the up grade for pothole view as the ship travels at night and you cannot see anything

Port Reviews

Venice

My advice go there once avoid buying anything in St Marks Square RIP OFF!!! 14 euros for a cup of tea, beware nowhere to sit down for anyone with walking difficulties, crowds of people but be aware of the council staff walking around with RESPECT VENICE TEE SHIRTS ON they will move you off steps or anywhere you do find to sit down and fine you 150 euros if you don't move, if you are hungry go into the back streets up to a 3/4 of the price off from St MARKS and watch your purse/wallet lots of pickpockets
